Software Developer

Software Developer

Our development team is growing! If you are a Web Developer with strong working skills in current web application technologies and have experience working on multiple projects, please read on! As part of our development team you will have an active role in the full life-cycle of software products including, design, development, testing, debugging, implementation, and maintenance.

We develop desktop, mobile, and web apps for churches, and we are looking for strong team players who are excited to create software tools for churches and non-profit ministries.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with project team members on the design and architecture of web based applications.
Develop and debug code in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, XML and JSON while developing web based applications.
Deploy finished applications to production servers in the cloud using Amazon Web Services.
Develop estimates of time needed to complete various projects goals.

Minimum Required Attributes and Experience:

Ability to speak/read/write English

Ability to define problems and propose solutions.

Organizational, verbal, and communication skills.

Ability to review existing code and propose ideas for new features and product improvement.

Ability to document solutions, write understandable code comments, and write clean code.

Ability to study and understand the needs of our market and users and develop meaningful solutions for those needs.

Have completed computer science / technical oriented coursework.

Development experience in OOP or a combination of training, internships, and course-work will be considered in lieu of work experience.

Ability to learn and apply new programming languages and methodologies.

Ability to work well under pressure and be a strong team player.

Desirable skills:

Working knowledge of the following: Java, JavaScript, PHP, HTML5, CSS3, Jquery, Ajax, XML, JSON, VB, VB.net, SQL server, Oracle, and Visual Studio or other IDEs.

Familiarity with SQL scripting and database design.

Experience working with Amazon web services

Experience with Delphi w/object Pascal for Windows, Android and iOS..

Help Desk Agent

Our Help Desk team is growing!  If you would like to help ministries and church staff use the latest in technology to manage their ministry then please read on!  As part of the Help Desk team you will play a big role in helping thousands of churches and ministries around the world accomplish their mission. Come work with the best! We will train you to be an expert in all Servant Keeper applications.

Minimum Required Attributes and Experience:

Ability to speak/read/write English

Ability to define problems and propose solutions

Ability to guide a customer through software applications over the phone

Ability to empathize with and understand what a user is trying to accomplish with their software application.

Ability to work well under pressure and be a strong team player

Experience working in a help desk environment is a plus.

Experience volunteering or working in a church or ministry is a plus.

Desirable skills:

To be considered applicants should have a natural aptitude toward technology including desktop, web, and mobile environments; and should be able to easily install and learn new applications quickly and easily.  Applicant should be energetic, diligent and outgoing.  You should thrive on software problem solving and helping people use technology while maintaining a cheerful and pleasant disposition.  Experience in church ministry, help desk environments, or both is a major plus.

Salary:

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
