Our Services

We are Servant Keeper. At Servant Keeper, we use software solutions to reduce the administrative burden of faith-based organizations (each a “Community”) so they can spend less time behind the computer and more time doing ministry. Servant Keeper is always creating new products and services to help each Community grow.

This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect in the course of offering our platforms, websites, and mobile applications (collectively, the “Services”), including:

  • Our websites, such as servantpc.com, servantkeeper.com, skgiving.com, and ministrytracker.com.
  • Our mobile applications for iOS and Android like Servant Keeper Greet and Attend, and Mobile Ministry.
  • Our products and services that are available as desktop clients, like Servant Keeper and Check-In.
  • Our email communications with you.

The Services may allow authorized representatives of a Community acting on behalf of their Community (a “Community User”) to provide us with information about members of a Community. We process such information only on behalf of a Community and do not determine what information is collected or how it is used. If you have questions about information that may be processed by your Community, please contact that Community.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to non-Servant Keeper websites or services that state that they are offered under a different privacy policy. Please review the privacy policies on those websites and applications directly to understand their privacy practices.

Information We Collect

The information we collect will depend on the nature of your interaction with us and may include:

Information You Provide to Us

We collect and retain information that you provide to us directly. The amount and type of information depends on the context and how we use the information and may include:

  • Community User Account Information:We ask for basic information from Community Users to set up an account to perform functions for their Community, including name, email address, and password. You may provide us with more information, like your phone number, but we don’t require that information to create a Servant Keeper account. Depending on the Services you use, Community Users may provide us with credentials for third party products and services required for the Services to function, such as account information for the Mail Chimp integration.
  • Donation Information: When you use our text-to-give services, we collect information necessary to process your donation, such as your name, address, donation amount, and payment information. We offer you the opportunity to create an account and collect any information you choose to provide in this process.
  • Communications With Us:We collect your contact information and any other information you choose to include when you communicate with us via email, mail, phone or other channels.

Information We Collect from Third Parties

We collect information from the following third party sources:

  • Online Advertising Companies: Information about the marketing and advertisements you have seen or clicked on from online advertising companies.
  • Third Party and Public Sources: We may collect information about Community leaders, such as name, contact information, demographic information, and religious affiliation, from public sources, church associations, and third party sources that provide consumer information. We may link this information to existing accounts and use it, for example, for marketing and advertising purposes or to conduct market research.

Cookies and Information Collected By Automated Means

When you interact with our Services, certain information about your use of the Services is automatically collected. This includes:

  • Device Information:We collect information about the device you use to access the Services, including  browser type, IP address, unique device identifier, language preference, operating system information, and the device’s telephone number.
  • Usage Information:We collect information about your interaction with Services, including what pages and content you access and use, date and time of visit, length of visit, search term, and frequency of visit. We also collect information about the actions that Community Users perform, such as who did what, when, and to what.
  • Location Information: We collect location information where you choose to provide our Services with access to information about your device’s location.

Much of this information is collected through cookies and other tracking technologies (collectively “cookies”) operated by our partners who assist us in compiling information about usage of the Services, serving ads, or providing other services to you. For example, we use Google Analytics to collect usage details. How And Why We Use Information

We use information about you as described above for the following purposes:

  • Provide the Services, including to set up and maintain your account, provide access to your products, and process your donations or payments.
  • Communicate with you, respond to your inquiries, questions, and other request, provide support, send important notices, and solicit feedback.
  • Maintain the Services, monitor and prevent any problems with the Services, protect the security of Services, detect and prevent fraudulent transactions and other illegal activities, fight spam, and protect the rights and property of Servant Keeper, you, or others.
  • Grow Servant Keeper, develop and improve the Services, understand our customer base and effectiveness of our marketing and promotional campaigns, monitor and analyze trends and better understand how individuals interact with Services, which helps us improve Services and make them easier to use.
  • Deliver personalized advertising, design and administer marketing campaigns, measure, gauge, improve the effectiveness of our advertising, personalize your experience when using Services, and and better understand retention and attrition.
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations, comply with inquiries from regulators, law enforcement agencies, or parties involved in litigation, establish or exercise our legal rights, and defend against legal claims or demands.

How We Share Your Information

We share the information we collect in the following instances:

  • With Your Community: When you use our text-to-donate service, we share information about your donation with your Community. If you are a Community User, your Community may be provided with access to information relating to your account as necessary to provide the Services.
  • With Service Providers: We may share information with service providers in order to enable them to provide their services to us. This includes providers that help us provide our Services to you (like payment providers that process your payment card information, fraud prevention services that allow us to analyze fraudulent payment transactions, postal and email delivery services that help us stay in touch with you, customer chat and email support services that help us communicate with you).
  • Analytics Partners: We partner with analytics providers who collect information via cookies on certain Services to assist us with measuring visits and traffic so we can measure, improve, and enhance the Services.
  • Advertising Partners: We partner with third parties who assist us in serving advertising regarding our Services to others who may be interested in the Services. These third parties may use tracking technologies to collect or receive information from our websites and elsewhere on the internet and use that information to provide measurement services and target ads. Third parties may allow other companies to access information about you so that they may market other products you may be interested in.
  • Legal Requests:We may disclose information about you in response to a subpoena, court order, or other lawful governmental request.
  • To Protect Rights, Property, and Others: We may disclose information about you when we believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of Servant Keeper, third parties, or the public at large.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, sale of company assets, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another company, or in the unlikely event that Servant Keeper goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would likely be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. We cannot promise that an acquiring party or the merged entity will have the same privacy practices or treat your information the same as described in this Privacy Policy.

We may also share information that has been aggregated or reasonably de-identified, so that the information could not reasonably be used to identify any individual. For instance, we may publish aggregate statistics about the use of the Services.

How We Protect and Retain Your Information

We retain your information until we no longer need the information for the purposes for which it was collected, or as may be required by law.   • Opt-Out of Electronic Communications:You may opt out of receiving promotional messages from us at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email. If you opt out of promotional messages, we may still send you other messages, like those about your account and legal notices.
  • Online Activity Tracking:You have several options to either prevent our collection of information regarding your online activity.
    • You may modify your browser setting to disable or reject cookies across the internet; but if you do, some features of our Services may not function properly or be available. If you are visiting the Services from a mobile device, the operating system of the device may offer you options regarding how the device collects and uses your information for interest-based advertising. Privacy Policy Changes

Servant Keeper may change its Privacy Policy from time to time. Servant Keeper encourages you to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy. If we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of the document and, in some cases, we may send you a notification through email or Services.

Transfers

Because Servant Keeper’s Services are offered worldwide, the information about you that we process when you use Services in the European Economic Area, Switzerland, or United Kingdom may be used, stored, transferred, accessed, or outside of the area in which you reside (including the United States and other countries where we have facilities or in which we engage service providers). We mainly process your information because it is necessary to perform our agreement to provide the Services and fulfill our contractual commitments to your Community (e.g. to enable access to Services), or because the processing is necessary for our legitimate interests where those interests do not override your fundamental rights and freedoms related to data privacy. When you use our text-to-donate services, we rely on your consent as a user of those services. Where we rely on on legitimate interests as a lawful basis, our legitimate interest is promoting Servant Keeper, improving and safeguarding the Services, ensuring effective operational management and internal administration, and the exercise of our rights.

In limited circumstances, we may rely on other legal bases for the processing of your information, including where necessary to comply with a legal obligation or where you provide your consent for processing.

Rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area, Switzerland, or United Kingdom, you are entitled to certain rights with respect to your information, subject to any exemptions provided by law.  These rights include the right to:
