Servant Keeper FAQs
How is a Servant Keeper license defined?
Servant Keeper® License is sold to a named organization under a License/Seat model. The License is permission for an organization to use Servant Keeper®, and is a one-time fee. The License includes one Seat. The licensed organization can purchase additional Seats to install Servant Keeper® on multiple computers. Each Seat allows the software to be installed on a single computer.
What is a Seat License?
A seat is a discounted license for an additional computer for organizations that are purchasing, or have already purchased an initial Servant Keeper® License. Every installation of Servant Keeper® on a computer requires a license. Seats are sold at a vast discount from the initial license. A Seat License is activated by the user after installation. When Servant Keeper® is initially installed it will prompt the user to activate the installation with a license code.
What is a User?
A User is an individual who has been granted access to the Servant Keeper database by the licensed organization. Users can log into the SK Database through Servant Keeper or through the Servant PC Mobile Apps. Each User has a combined User ID and Password which ties to the user privileges they have been assigned, thus giving them access to various portions of an organization’s Servant Keeper® database. Servant Keeper® 7 will allow unlimited users to be created in the database and to access it at the same time. There are nearly limitless variations of access privileges that can be assigned. The organization’s administrator can create User accounts for people they wish to grant various levels of access to their database. This helps the administrator keep the data safe and confidential. If an organization has their database hosted on the ServantPC Cloud, the number of users may affect the price of hosting. Speak with a representative for more information regarding ServantPC Cloud pricing and data hosting.
How does licensing and support apply to a multi-campus scenario?
Multi-campus and multi-site organizations will need to purchase an initial Servant Keeper License and, if desired, separate HelpDesk Support for each campus or site. Servant Keeper® is licensed per organization per location. An organization can purchase additional seats at the discounted seat price to use Servant Keeper® within their named organization. If there are multiple organizations/churches planning on using Servant Keeper® they will need a separate initial Servant Keeper® license per organization. To determine if you qualify as one organization or multiple organizations, use this guideline: if the organizations have the SAME tax I.D. AND are operating their actual ministry (not just the administration duties) from the same location then one initial license is required, with additional seats purchased at the discounted rate. If either of these is not true, then you will need to purchase separate initial licenses for each organization.

Is Servant Keeper Networkable?
Servant Keeper® is networkable and will work on nearly any network environment. A network is when two or more computers are connected to each other, either via a peer-to peer network or a server based network. If you purchase additional seats and install them on computers on your network, all of your installed Seats have the ability to access the same database at the same time. This will require proper installation by your network administrator, and installation and successful networking is the responsibility of the licensed organization. The customer is solely responsible for the correct installation of Servant Keeper® on a network and for having the proper settings on that network to share the database among workstations. If you are installing on a network it is advised that your network administrator or a qualified networking professional install Servant Keeper® for you. NOTE: Setting up your network and giving technical network support is not covered under the standard HelpDesk agreement but can be purchased on a per-call basis.
What is Hosted Data, the ServantPC Cloud, and how does that all work?
If you purchase Servant Keeper® for hosted data, that means we will host your data on the ServantPC Cloud, and you can access that data from any computer with an internet connection that has Servant Keeper® installed, or any internet ready Apple or Android mobile device with the ServantPC mobile apps. This frees up users to do work from home or anywhere else. Click here for more information about the ServantPC Cloud.
What is the difference between the $499 Servant Keeper® program and $250 Servant Keeper® Small Church program?
